　　The Dairy Processors Association of Canada (DPAC/ATLC) is Canada's national industry association representing the public policy and regulatory interests of the Canadian dairy processing industry.

　　Mandate

• Protect and advance the interests of its members and promote growth.
• Advance quality, food safety and innovation.
• Focus on national policies, legislation and regulations and when relevant address international / regional / provincial issues.
• Provide leadership to governments, customers, provincial dairy and other food associations, and consumers to promote the elimination of unnecessary regulations that impede the development of the Canadian dairy processing industry.
• Advocate a pro-consumer choice and innovation stance in policy and regulatory matters.

　　Activities

• Represents the interests of the dairy processing sector to the Government of Canada, Dairy Farmers of Canada, Canadian Dairy Commission and federal or provincial government agencies
• Acts as an industry spokesperson on issues relevant to the dairy processing industry
• Has representation at the national Canadian Milk Supply Management Committee (CMSMC)
• Participates in numerous industry committees on behalf of the processing sector such as Secretariat of CMSMC, P5 Technical Committee and the Canadian Laboratory Service's Board of Directors, etc.
• Works with other dairy and food associations on regulatory, legislative and policy issues relevant to the industry.
